32 gambrel style barns have a 5 12 top roof pitch and a 16 12 steep pitch. Side sheds may be 8 10 or 12 wide. The gambrel s distinctively shaped roof makes it possible to offer a special floor plan featuring roomy open living areas crowned by a cozy sleeping loft. All gambrel style barns can be any length you choose.

But there s also another big benefit up there more upper level storage room than in any of our other designs. The gambrel style house kit is named for its distinctive roof design. Some folks have turned this space into an office and apartment. Gambrel barns can be either a single story barn or a two story barn.

For example by adding 2 12 side sheds to a 24 gambrel the overall width would be 48.
